Maxx has taken some of Jimmy’s compositions and literally brought them into the 21^st century with modern hip-hop and trance influences.  The other more mellow works utilize less traditional instruments rarely found in Jazz, but are just as deserving of attention and respect.  Seeking to find new territory for these instruments (from the flute family) he has created his own brand of music which he has named Southwest/Desert Modern — melodic, moody and beautiful, it owes it roots to the music of the Western American Indians as well as American Jazz..
